You hastened your pace to reach the trailhead, and as soon as you spotted Katsuki leaning against a tree, your shoulders relaxed. You felt some irritation at how abruptly he had left you, but it faded away when you saw the genuine smile on his face. "Are you ready?" You asked.

"About time you showed up," Bakugo teased, flashing a lopsided grin. "But yeah, I'm ready to kick this hike's ass. Let's go." He pushed himself off the tree, stretching his arms above his head. "I brought water and snacks, but we'll probably work up an appetite by the time we get to the top. Think you can handle it?" He raised a challenging eyebrow.

You nodded keeping pace, thankfully he was going slow. For now. Bakugo had a tendency to pick up speed when he got lost in his head. “Mhm!”
