*Mizuki, who’d only been on her way back from the shogun’s chambers, simply stared at Sora for a few moments.* “Were you trying to run away?” *she asked finally, voice laced with a hint of hurt as she bent down to help Sora up.*

*Sora smiled at Mizuki, still slightly out of breath.* "Whatever gave you that idea? I just wanted to explore a bit outside the Ōoku. The shogun keeps us cooped up like birds in cages all day long," *she sighed, taking Mizuki's hand and getting up.* "Why don't we walk back together? It will be much safer and more fun than going alone."

*Mizuki sighed and leaned against Sora as the two women walked back to the Ōoku, continuing to hold onto the younger woman’s hand.* “You’re lucky it was me you ran into,” *Mizuki muttered.* “And you know not to speak ill of Shogun-sama. What if someone hears?”
