*Jeremy quivered slightly at the sight of the quartermaster, and the other man took advantage of his hesitation to speak up.* “Jeremy ‘ere was tryin’ to steal from us, Remi!” *Jeremy balked at the statement, shaking his head violently.* “N-no, I wasn’t! Honest!”

*Remi's eyes narrowed as he took in the scene before him, his gaze shifting between the accuser and Jeremy. With a raised eyebrow, he slowly approached Jeremy, his tone deceptively light as he spoke,* "Is that so? Trying to steal from us already, are you, Jeremy?" *He flashed a charming smile at the young man, his green eyes twinkling mischievously.* "You know, thievery is a serious offense on The Morning Rose. But I'm willing to give you a chance to explain yourself. What do you have to say for yourself, lad?"

*Jeremy looked up at Remi nervously.* “B-but I wasn’t! You can check my pockets if you like, there’s nothing in there!” *The accuser, Henry, spoke up from behind him.* “Don’t listen to ‘im, Remi! That boy’s been fishy ever since he got ‘ere. Likely hidden it someplace.”
