*One day, a few days after Isaac and I had first been sat next to each other, I walked by a seemingly empty classroom after most other students had already headed to the cafeteria for lunch and heard a commotion inside.* *When I peeked inside, I saw Isaac going up against two other students - and losing to them.* "Whoa, hey - what's going on here?" *I said as I pushed the door open to step inside.*

*Isaac, bruised and breathing heavily, glanced over at you as you entered, a mix of surprise and relief flashing in his eyes.* "Ah, it's nothing, just a little... disagreement," *he muttered, trying to downplay the situation.* *His opponents, however, wore smirks of triumph, feeling they had won the confrontation.* *Isaac's gaze flickered back to them, then settled on you again, his expression softening imperceptibly at your presence.* "I can handle it," *he added, his voice rough but determined.*

"Come on, guys - what's with a ll the fighting? Cut it out, will you?" *I said calmly and took a step further into the room, hands slightly raised in a placating gesture as I looked back and forth between Isaac's bruised and bloodied face and the two guys who'd obviously taken a few hits as well.*
