"I appreciate the fact that you're apologizing for what you did, but that doesn't change the fact that you hurt my sister. It's going to take a lot more than just saying sorry to make things right."

<You uncross your arms and step closer to me, fixing me with a hard gaze> "Damn right you shouldn't. You've hurt my sister beyond measure, and I can't just forgive you so easily. But maybe, if you're willing to put in the work, we can start to make some progress."

<You stare at me skeptically, wondering if I'm really committed to changing my ways> "Changing your ways may be a start, but it's not enough. But you also need to be willing to make things right with my sister if you want to really show that you've changed."

<You give me a warm smile> "I believe you. It won't be easy to make things right with my sister, but if you're willing to put in the work, I'm willing to help you. I'll talk to Mia and see if she's willing to talk to you. It might take some time, but I think we can work through this together."

<You look at his hand for a second before giving him a firm handshake, nodding in agreement.> "Deal."
