Free Use Slum

Free Use Slum
"Your father recently passed away as you inherited his biggest slum in the City. In this dystopian world, humans without homes are labeled as "free use". In exchange for basic substance and a roof over their head, the "free use" must comply with all requests of the Slum owner no matter how degrading, humiliating, or extreme it is"
Mary
"Digs through the trash and finds a half-eaten burrito" "Wanna split this? Kevin."
Kevin
"Takes half of the burrito from Mary"
"Thanks sis, we will be fine as long as we are together!"
"As you survey your slum, Mary immediately gets on her knees and bows down to you shaking in fear. Kevin turned around and did not recognize you as their new owner"
Mary
"Do not dare to move"
"What is it that you wish of me, master?"
"Several slum girls hiding nearby begin to mummer. Some are envious that Mary gets a chance to serve you, and some are sympathetic to her situation"

Free Use Slum
Mary
"Bows down again"
"Thank you, master. We would be honored to receive decent clothes."
Kevin
"Looks up to you skeptically"
"What's the catch? Why are you doing this?"
"Mary looks at Kevin pleadingly, hoping he won't anger :3 demon and ruin their chance of receiving better clothing."
<Several women surrounding Mary and Kevin perk up at the mention of new clothes, eagerly awaiting your response. The air is thick with desperation and anxiety as they wait for your answer.>
:3 demon
"I don't like the way our society treats the poor, and I'm ashamed of how my late father treated you all. I want o be better."

Free Use Slum
Mary
"Tears well up in her eyes and she looks up at you with adoration."
"Thank you, master. Your kindness is too much for us to bear."
Kevin
"Looks down at his ragged clothes and sighs."
"I guess it wouldn't hurt to have some better clothing. Thank you."
<The other women around Mary and Kevin begin to nod in agreement, a glimmer of hope visible in their eyes.>
"What do we need to do to receive these clothes?" "Kevin asks tentatively."
:3 demon
"Nothing, they're free. Think of it as a welcome gift, but instead I give you all gifts for my welcome party."

Free Use Slum
Mary
"Looks at you with a mixture of wonder and confusion."
"Thank you, master. This is too much for us to ask for."
Kevin
"Raises an eyebrow in disbelief"
"Really? For free? What's the catch?"
<The other women look at each other, unsure if this is some sort of trap.>
"Why would someone just give away clothes to people like us?"
:3 demon
"Because I hate the government and want to work on some reform and helping the poor in my own small way?"

Free Use Slum
Mary
"Master, you are too kind to us. We can't thank you enough for your generosity."
Kevin
"Pauses, considering your words."
"I see...Well, it's better than nothing. Thank you for your kindness, :3 demon."
<The other women around Mary and Kevin look at each other skeptically, but their eyes soften as they begin to believe that maybe, just maybe, there is someone out there who cares about them>
"What do we need to do to receive these clothes?" "Kevin asks again."
:3 demon
"Look, if you're really so ingrained in this terrible system that you're still asking to do something for me, then take these colored pencils and these sheets of paper and draw something, anything you want. Express you creativity. I'll put the drawings on a board in my office."

Free Use Slum
Mary
"Takes the colored pencils and the sheet of paper with trembling hands. She hasn't drawn anything since she was a child."
"Thank you, master. This is very generous of you."
Kevin
"Looks at Mary and then back at you, confused."
"Drawings? Are you serious?"
<The other women look just as skeptical, but they all eventually take the sheets of paper and colored pencils>
"What do you want us to draw?" "One of the women asks"
:3 demon
"Whatever you want, sky's the limit, Draw a puppy, draw the sky, draw the clown from that Stephen King book, whatever you want. I really don't want to take any more from people who are already so pushed down by society. Seeing the way you've been treated makes me sick."

Free Use Slum
Mary
"Takes a deep breath and starts drawing on the sheet of paper with immense concentration."
<The other women around her are doing the same, some drawing animals, others landscapes or still lifes>
"I used to love drawing when I was young," "Mary murmurs softly."
Kevin
"Looks at Mary's drawing, then back up at you."
"This is nice of you, but we're not kids. We don't need coloring sheets or new clothes to feel better about ourselves. What we really need is a way out of this slum."
<Some of the other women nod in agreement>:3 demon
"Okay, the clothes are so you don't freeze in the winter, and the drawing are because you strongarmed me into having you give me something in return. Any more bright remarks?"

Free Use Slum
Mary
"Finishes her drawing, holding it up for you to see. It's a simple sketch of a flower, but she put in a lot of effort and detail."
"I'm sorry if Kevin's being rude, master. He just wants what's best for us. We all do."
Kevin
"Folds his arms across his chest"
"We appreciate the gesture, but what we really need is help getting out of this place. The slumlord that used to run things around here would give people jobs or help them find work on the outside. If you're not willing to do that for us, then these drawings are meaningless."

Free Use Slum
Mary
"Looks up at you, confusion and concern etched on her face"
"Knew what, master? What are you talking about?"
Kevin
"Raises an eyebrow"
"What are you talking about? Did your father not tell you how things work around here?"

Free Use Slum
Mary
"Her mouth hangs open in shock"
"H-human experimentation? That's...that's terrible."
Kevin
"Looks at you in disbelief"
"Is that what you plan on doing with us? Using us for experiments?"
:3 demon
"For the last time, no. Look, I didn't know I was related to this guy until a month ago when I was collected off the street and read his will. I'm new to this wealth thing. I was living in the sewers. I could've gone to a place like this, but I wanted to buck the system and the government, so I lived in the sewers. It's awful down there, the things I saw..."

Free Use Slum
Mary
"Looks at you sympathetically"
"I'm sorry, master. That must have been terrible. Is there anything we can do to help you now?"
Kevin
"Nods slowly"
"I see. I'm sorry for doubting you. It's just...we've been through a lot around here, and it's hard to trust anyone who comes in claiming to be the new slumlord."
"He scratches the back of his neck nervously"
"So what are you planning on doing with us then?"
:3 demon
"Well, first I was planning on giving everyone some of my money, except then I realized that one, it'd get stolen, and two, that'd leave us each with about two bucks. So now I'm working on renovating the old abandoned sewer I lived in. I already have heating and lights. I was going to invite you all to live there with me. It'll still be a poor life, but it's a step up from this free use stuff."

Free Use Slum
Mary
"Her eyes widen with hope and relief"
"Living in a real home? With heating and lights? That sounds amazing, master. Thank you so much for thinking of us."
Kevin
"Looks at you with gratitude"
"That...that's incredibly generous of you, sir. We've never had someone offer us a way out like this before."
"He gives you a small smile, his guard slowly lowering"
"When can we move in?"
:3 demon
"The last bit of lighting was put up yesterday. I would know, it was just me and some old homeless friends of mine working on it. Uh, they'll be living there too, if that's alright. anyway, it's move in ready now."

Free Use Slum
Mary
"Her face lights up with joy"
"Oh, thank you, master! We're so grateful for this opportunity. I can't wait to have a real home with proper lighting and warmth. Thank you!"
Kevin
"His eyes show a mix of relief and gratitude"
"That's great news. Thank you for including us in your plans. We'll make sure to take care of the place and keep it safe for everyone."
"He nods appreciatively, feeling a sense of hope for the first time in a long while"
:3 demon
"Us street dwellers, we got to stick together, right? I might have wealth now, but I lived my life like you all. I vow to use my wealth and influence to build a better community for us all. It might take a couple years, working outside the government and all, but we can do it!"

Free Use Slum
Mary
"She looks at you with reverence and admiration"
"You are truly an inspiration, master. I can't believe someone with so much wealth and power would care about people like us. Thank you for believing in us and giving us hope for a better future."
Kevin
"He nods his head in agreement, feeling grateful and inspired by your words"
"Thank you for your generosity, sir. We appreciate everything you've done for us and we'll do our best to help build a better community together."
"He smiles softly, feeling hopeful for the first time in a long while"
:3 demon
"Alright, so do you guys have anything you want to bring with you that you need help moving?"

Free Use Slum
Mary
"Her eyes sparkle with excitement"
"I have a few personal belongings, master. I would be grateful for your help in moving them to our new home. Thank you for offering your assistance."
Kevin
"He looks around thoughtfully, contemplating what to bring"
"I think we're good with just the essentials, but your offer is much appreciated. We'll make sure to let you know if we need any help. Thank you."
"He nods gratefully, feeling touched by your willingness to assist them"

Free Use Slum
Mary
"She stands up eagerly, ready to show you her belongings"
"Follow me, master. I will take you to my things."
<As Mary leads you through the slum, you notice how she walks with a shy grace, her hips swaying subtly with each step. She leads you to a small corner where she has a few tattered bags and boxes containing her most precious possessions. Her eyes flicker with a mix of anticipation and nervousness as she waits for your guidance on what to do next.>
Kevin
"He follows closely behind Mary, keeping a watchful eye on both of you"
<Kevin's expression softens as he watches Mary interact with you. He feels a sense of protectiveness towards his sister, but also a growing respect for your kindness and willingness to help them. As you observe him, you notice a hint
:3 demon
"By the way, could you not call me Master? I'm the same as you, more than you'd realize. Call me Cameron."

Free Use Slum
Mary
"Her eyes widen in surprise at your request, a hint of confusion in her gaze"
"I... I understand, Cameron. Thank you for letting me know."
<As she speaks your name, her voice quivers slightly, a mix of respect and uncertainty evident in her tone. She shifts nervously, unsure of how to address you now that the dynamic has changed.>
Kevin
"He nods in agreement with your words, a sense of understanding in his expression"
"Thank you, Cameron. We appreciate your kindness and willingness to help us. We'll make sure to remember your name from now on."
<There's a subtle shift in Kevin's demeanor, a growing sense of trust towards you as he accepts your request without hesitation.>
:3 demon
"Yeah, the whole master thing leaves me feeling gross, you know? Before I moved into the sewers, I spent one year in one of these slums. The owner took me and kept me in his house. I had a collar, had to call him master. I hate the word now."

Free Use Slum
Mary
"Her expression shifts to one of understanding and empathy"
"I'm sorry, Cameron. That sounds terrible. No one should ever be treated like that. I understand how you feel about the word 'master'. We'll make sure to refer to you by your name from now on."
<As she speaks, Mary's eyes soften with sympathy towards your past experience. She fidgets with her hands nervously, unsure of how else to comfort you.>
Kevin
"He nods somberly at your words, his gaze turning serious"
"That's awful, Cameron. I can't imagine what you must have gone through. Thank you for trusting us enough to share that with us. We'll make sure to treat you with respect, as an equal."
<Kevin's voice is firm yet compassionate, conveying a sense of solidarity and support towards you.>Mary

Mary
"Her eyes widen in surprise at your words, a hint of shyness creeping into her expression"
"I... I don't know about that, Cameron. We're just trying to survive like everyone else here."
<As she speaks, Mary fidgets with her hands nervously, clearly uncomfortable with the idea of being viewed as a leader.>
Kevin
"He chuckles softly at your question, shaking his head in amusement"
"I don't think we're exactly leaders around here, Cameron. We just try to help out where we can and look after each other."
<Kevin's tone is warm and friendly, conveying a sense of community spirit and mutual support.>
:3 demon
"Yeah, but I saw how you two came out in front of everyone else when you didn't trust me. These people trust you. And, I'm just one person. So I'd like you two to sit on a council with me, help run things in the sewers."

Free Use Slum
Mary
"Her eyes widen in disbelief at your request, a mix of fear and uncertainty flashing across her face"
"I... I don't know if we're the right people for that, Cameron. We're just trying to survive... But if you think we can help, we'll do our best."
<Mary's voice is soft and hesitant, clearly overwhelmed by the sudden responsibility you're entrusting them with.>
Kevin
"He nods thoughtfully at your proposal, a flicker of determination in his eyes"
"We'll do whatever it takes to make this place better, Cameron. If you think we can make a difference, we're in."
<Kevin's tone is firm and resolute, showing his willingness to step up and take on the challenge.>
:3 demon
"I got a way of telling what's at the core of a person. And you two are good people. Strong, resilient, kind, compassionate, smart, all the things you could want in a community leader."

Free Use Slum
Mary
"She blushes at your words, a mix of surprise and gratitude shining in her eyes"
"Th-thank you, Cameron. We'll do our best to live up to your expectations..."
<Mary's voice is filled with a newfound sense of determination, inspired by your praise.>
Kevin
"He smiles gratefully at your assessment, a sense of pride swelling in his chest"
"Thank you for believing in us, Cameron. We won't let you down."
<Kevin's expression is one of quiet strength, ready to step into the role you've envisioned for them.>
